Daniel Mayes What an awesome (if not overdue!!!) follow up to Ay's first release. This picks up where the previous left off, but strides ahead. A heartfelt journey for fans of Dire Straits and Pink Floyd. Quality once more! Favorite track: Rise For The Blind.

Dawn, I’m down - It’s all gone Where are my trophies? - When is my end? Inner silence nearly broken Voices of reason, Empty lessons I’m ought to know, no one does Cut, I’m out - Hearing about - Getting closer To what I could live without Inner heaven nearly broken Voices of reason, Lazy lessons Inner silence, Dreadful sentence Voices of treason, All doomed to meet their end I’m ought to know, no one does I might break the silence Upon the sea my essence Secretly filled with sunbeams Switched on by fear and wild screams Deep inside my sacred darkness I sensed a peace, a place called home I’m going home, I’m going on

Here comes your destruction Here come your remains We feel some delusions We need some new pains Another time Another chase Another crime Another place, another face You feed your emotions But you need to complain Stare at the horizon There will be no more chains We self-destruct as always No virus ever stays Another time Another chase Another crime Another face A war is coming The last of all We’ll see no morning We’ll touch no wall

Silent Truth 03:40
There’s a place we met along the way To the starving dream we used to play With a special boring silent sound Where I feel substantially strayed She was there, with no dare, Without principles, without care I was crying a song for her, Leading a silent crowd, for her And she wouldn’t be touched, she wouldn’t be felt She wouldn’t find a way to communicate When I realised it was an escape From the old world, from our fate She was there, she was bare Without principles, without care I was screaming a word for her Feeding the silent truth, for her. Then she breathed, just to leave Her own body, just to cease I never went there again for her Never just said the truth to her. She ran.

Rise for the blind Ride on the time to reach me Ride on the time Rise for the blind who teach me Hope and forgiveness If only you pitched into the glory You’d dawn on your useless pride But maybe it’s time to sink the baby And anyone around would kiss me As you rise to a new world... Rise for the blind Ride on the time to reach me Ride on the time Rise for the blind who teach me Hope and forgiveness You see, I’m only here to die in The law of attraction and affection You need to let go off the old seed You’ll root on the day you feel free You’ll rise on the day...

I fell inside you Really begged you to Drift away from who You really want me to Be without a clue I drank your poison words I let them sharpen my swords And guide my way through these muds Missed I was just the king of turds That I was lured So my time to step away Finally took place one day I counted options along the way And felt so lonely I met a mighty man Was sure he had a plan Convinced I found a grand Solution with my hand But I’ve been banned So my time to step away Sadly took place another day I figured bright notions along the way And felt so lonely, so deeply lonely I need some money, where are you honey? We now witness precious times We tried spinning all around This time we reset to the ground Not looking away We force you today I’m not here to judge Neither to indulge We want you to stare Always wanted to dare To see the truth In these precious times, we can leave it all behind There is no need for revolution We are only natural evolution So dance with me my son Fill this precious time I’m fine

Mojo Down 04:01
We are the sons - of temptations We chase fake love And we praise all the fun We stay untouched - From what we must Steal deep inside Our worried souls left behind Soon we’ll meet this maze keeping our mojo down We beat our drums - We load our guns We meet our fate Because it’s never too late Life is a crime - Under our grime So many girls We sadly left behind Soon we’ll meet this maze keeping our mojo down
7.
Anymore 04:40
Broken doors are piling Wooden floors are old Let it flow within you Whatever sin makes you feel cold Anger builds the distance Pain fades away If you could see beside you No need to run nor find another way If you’re not racing If you’re not fighting Anymore If you’re not living If you’re not dying Anymore, anymore If it’s not with you It won’t live inside you Anymore Clocks are ticking loudly Churches are ringing bells Don’t ever be sorry To listen to what the sun really ever tells
8.
The Sea 03:10
Maybe I’m wrong Maybe your song Is here to belong And I feel alone Away, today, I’m lost at sea Away, hiding far from the deed Maybe I’m gone Maybe I’ve done What needs to belong So you get along Away, these days, I breathe the sea Away, to pray, down by the sea, down by the sea, down by the sea I fall into the night The sailing fades at my sight I fall into your light

Sign 04:24
When will it tell me where we would end? When will it change me into something grand? Where is our loneliness in our distant soul? Would it be heartless for a blind goal? We see no sunsets, we see no skies We heal our shores to let them all be lies We faint our sickness, we sense our thoughts We feed our darkness to share our roads Hear me... please don’t love me I’m your crime, hunted crime Hurting sign, loathing time We share our distance, we stare at seeds We bare our sentence, we flare our dreams How did we get here for just a piece of gold? How do we freeze fear without a dying doll? Where is our redemption? Did it die in tears? We don’t need salvation, only the unclear We deal our freedom, we squeeze our thoughts We flee towards stardom to hold on our roads Hear me... please don’t love me I’m your crime, hunted crime Hurting sign, loathing time Hearts and signs, killing time You know we don’t hate you That’s how we’re going through We like to act in lies Fake panic, real surprise We’re thrilled to show our pain Just as we’d seek no fame

Vote 05:01
I can’t choose today my dear No one to me is quite clear I’d rather chop off an angel’s head Than trust these hoaxes with my name I’m not a guest in this feast of hate I’m just anonymous with an empty plate To choose the bright side of our doomed world Is just as tough as watching the cynics burn Would you care to feel our options here? Would you dare to claim “no need to fear”? So we dug our tombs with pride and joy So we ride our world just as a toy To vote is something sacred they say How come it became a fool’s game today Is the fate of liberty meant to rust? Should we let the anger go, and burst? To stay means to play the game To fight means to lose the grace You know they all look the same You know they won’t leave a trace No need to join the revolution Everyone fears a dark conclusion I heard some smart talks once they said Insignificance is always forgotten anyway

I wanna feel what you feel my lover But nobody ever calls I wanna chill what you chill my lover But nobody ever calls How many dances, chances, fences to stop her But nobody ever calls You don’t drag, you’re alright, there’s a sign I loathe her And nobody ever calls Don’t faint, you’re mine - I wouldn’t dare feel fine Don’t glare at your crime - I’d still be there to shine I’m on the edge of a bright new sign Just let your hate fade in your time How could you feel or not feel my lover Cause nobody ever calls How could you chill or not chill my lover Cause nobody ever calls Just let it all go - You know I’ll hold Just let me know - When you feel bold I’m on the edge of a bright new sign Just let your hate fade in your time I wanna feel what you feel my lover But nobody will ever call You don’t have to feel what I feel my lover Cause I won’t ever call
12.
I can’t explain - I can’t refrain My land keeps falling Feeling alone - Just like a bone Left in the sea - Of fury I won’t start - A new fight I have changed my game Where’s my way - My wise way Out of the darkness I’m senseless - I feel helpless... I am drowning Seizing the drone - Stretched by my own Fictional story I’ll be adored - Praised like a lord The world won’t stop calling - My readings Just like a chess - No less I’ll be haled - Unveiled Feeding my time - With no wine I’ll keep calling - My moaning I’ll keep falling... I am blind, I’ll wave down, deep down...

Why 08:22
Tease, tell me something You’re not allowed to show your pride in front of mine Please, don’t say it’s nothing Picture down this ancient time and cross the line Feel, give me knowing Cross the river, keep the truth out here alive Cheer, hear me blowing And praise this sweet sound in which you will dive I see you’re not bowing I heard it’s not your cries Bleed, you’re not resting Pretend nobody tries Deep, I know you’re loving You just can’t get why There’s nothing new under the sun You’ve seen this through and you begun At least you’re here, amazed as one Lost weary soul among the fun Deep, I know you’re loving - You just can’t get why Dear, you know I’m mocking - You know exactly why Dear, You know I’m loving, you just have to tell why

about

This album has been built over the years, on my own mainly. I've had help from my dear friend Julien Orschek with his drums skills.
I've recorded most of it in my flat in Nice, France. Some parts were recorded in Verbier, Switzerland and some drums parts in Fréjus, France.
Thank you all, my friends and family for your support.
Love you Mour.
Some of these songs are quite political. I guess it's the perfect timing to let them all out.
Thank you for listening.

You can download for free, if you don't want to pay anything for it.
